You\'ll find numerous bars and restaurants nearby, and your tour manager will be on hand to direct you.
An exciting day of sightseeing and shopping begins – perhaps with a hearty New York breakfast. Join the optional Guided City Tour, or hunt festive bargains in famous stores, speciality outlets and Christmas markets, like Grand Central Station\'s. You might take a carriage ride in Central Park, or visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art\'s famous nativity display.
This evening, why not round off your visit by taking to the air on an optional Manhattan Skyline Helicopter Ride? You might book to see a Broadway show, or Radio City Music Hall\'s famous Christmas Spectacular.
Today you\'ll travel to historic Boston. Check in to your welcoming hotel, in the Victorian `Back Bay\' area, then soak up the city\'s festive atmosphere. Close by are the glittering Prudential Center and ultra-modern Copley Plaza malls, and \'old\' Boston\'s elegant Newbury Street. This evening, a world of dining choice includes traditional Boston Clam Chowder and New England lobster.
Our optional guided city tour will reveal this historic place, where the gold-domed State House overlooks the Common upon which America\'s Founding Fathers once strolled. Shop at famous Quincy Market and the Christmas Market at busy Downtown Crossing. In nearby Cambridge, historic Harvard Square\'s Holiday Craft Fair showcases New England artisans and artists.
Enjoy another evening in the city, perhaps taking in a seasonal show or dining in style at the \'Top of the Hub\' – the Prudential Center\'s 52nd-floor restaurant.
Today you\'ll head to the Merrimack Premium Outlets \'factory\' shopping mall in New Hampshire for \'tax-free\' shopping and sensational daily discounts of between 25 and 65 percent. Browse over 100 designer and brand-name stockists offering fashion through to homeware, as well as last-minute Christmas gifts. You\'ll then head back to the airport and the return overnight flight.
Arrive back in the UK, at the end of a wonderful pre-Christmas break.
US arrivals process
Most British Citizens travelling to the USA do not need a visa but must register online with US Immigration at least 72 hours before departure. A charge of $14US applies. We will send you the details, along with your tickets, about two weeks prior to travel. Any persons who have a criminal record or have ever been arrested, even if not charged, cannot use this process and must apply for a visa.
Smoking is not permitted on any coach forming part of your holiday; regular stops will be made though for your comfort en route. The majority of hotels in North America are non-smoking throughout including in all bedrooms. In general smoking outside is acceptable, but do look out for signs prohibiting this close to public entrances or bus stops.
Gratuities are a way of life in North America, and it is generally accepted that they form part of a person\'s earnings. Customary gratuity to a coach driver or tour manager is about $5 per person per day; in a taxi or a restaurant leave 12-15 per cent of the bill and, in the bar, leave a dollar or so per drink.
